Oveta Orand

Oveta Rea Orand passed away on February 17, 2017. Oveta was born on December 27, 1935 in Shamrock, TX to Roy Earl Conner and Estelle Marie Dunlap Conner. Oveta was a graduate of Shamrock

High School and had been a resident of Rockport for 17 years. She was a member of the Bethel Baptist

Church in Ingleside, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents, step-daughter, Beck Helfer; step-son

William Collins; and two brothers, LaVon and Johnny Conner. She is survived by her loving husband, James Orand of Rockport; two sons, William (Darla) White of Pampa, TX, Michael (Rosemary) White of Rockport, TX, and step-son Danny Paul (Ashlee) Orand of Pampa, TX; daughter, Elizabeth Ann Blair of

Wheeling, West Virginia; four step-daughters, Teresa Taylor of Rockport, Linda Wagner of Rockport,

Marie McCathern of Winona, TX, and Darla Giger of Rockport; brother, Don Conner of Amarillo, TX;

and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildern. A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 24, 2017, 2:00 p.m. at the Bethel Baptist Church in Ingleside, TX.
