Ofelia Avalos Reyes, 90, passed away on January 27, 2017 in Sugarland, Texas. She was born on May 20, 1926 in Rio Grande Zacatecas, Mexico to Rosario and Gregoria Alvarez.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Antonio A. Reyes; parents; daughter, Evangelina B. Reyes; brother, Francisco "Esmin" Alvarez. Ofelia is survived by her sons, Cecilio Pedro Martinez, Antonio L. Reyes and his wife Sandra; daughters, Clarabell M. Rodriguez and her husband Gavino "Chico", Mary Rose Rodriguez and her husband David, Marisol Gonzales and her husband Jesus; twenty-one grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; twenty-five great-great-grandchildren and many dear friends.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 2, 2017 from 9am- 9pm with a rosary at 7pm at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Aransas Pass. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, February 3, 2017 at 10am at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church in Ingleside. Interment to follow immediately at Gregory Cemetery in Gregory, Texas.
