Moses Alaniz, 66, of Corpus Christi, passed away August 27, 2025.
He was born in Houston Texas on April 1, 1959. Moses attended Aransas Pass high school, where he excelled in football and track. His charisma and charm drew people to him, making him a beloved figure among friends and family.
A devoted Catholic, Moses found joy and solace in his faith, often attending Saint Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church that enriched his spiritual life.
He cherished the simplicity of spending time with his children and grandchildren. He loved to go to the movies any chance that he had, especially with his grandchildren.
Moses is survived by his children, Zoe Collins (KC Sr.), Angel Alaniz (Sandy), Kayla Alaniz (Daniel); his cherished grandchildren, Zuriah Valverde, KC Collins Jr. , Alexxavier Alaniz, Andrew Alaniz, Adrianna Alaniz, Arabella Alaniz, Adelynn Alaniz, Serenity Alaniz, Daniel Hinojosa Jr.; and his siblings, Laura Alaniz, Adrian Alaniz, and Sylvia Torres. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and cousins who will miss him dearly.
Moses was preceded in death by his mother, Jovita Alaniz, and his brothers, Jesse Alaniz, Robert Alaniz, and Salvador Alaniz. His legacy of love, faith and charm will live on in the hearts of those who knew him, and he will be remembered fondly by all who were fortunate enough to experience this warmth and light.
Visitation will be held on Friday September 5, 2025 from 10am-1pm, at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Aransas Pass; followed by the Holy Rosary being recited at 1pm. Mass will be at Immaculate Conception at 2pm in Gregory, TX, followed by a graveside service at Gregory Cemetery.
