Morgan Ray Brundrett

January 20, 1960 — May 22, 2026

Dilley, Texas

Morgan Ray Brundrett was born to Horace Almon Brundrett and Mildred Lee Davis Brundrett on January 20, 1960, in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Morgan will be remembered as a man with a kind heart, a generous spirit, and a gift for making everyone feel welcome. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy, a service that reflected his deep sense of duty, honor, and love for others. Above all, Morgan was a man of faith whose trust in God guided the way he lived and cared for those around him.

He never met a stranger and could strike up a conversation with anyone he crossed paths with. Morgan loved to visit, share stories, and stay abreast of the latest news, always eager to know what was happening in the lives of those around him and in the world. He had a knack for telling it like it was, whether you wanted to hear it or not, and those who knew him appreciated his honesty, wit, and straightforward nature.

Morgan also loved to cook and had a remarkable ability to turn almost anything into a gourmet meal. Whether preparing a meal for family, friends, or guests, he found joy in bringing people together around the table and sharing both food and fellowship.

He was the kind of person who would give you the shirt off his back without hesitation. His compassion and willingness to help others left a lasting impression on family, friends, and neighbors alike. Whether stopping by for a visit, lending a helping hand, or simply offering a listening ear, Morgan made people feel valued and cared for.

Morgan’s warmth, generosity, faithful spirit, and friendly nature will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched through simple acts of kindness, devoted service, unwavering faith, delicious meals, honest words, and genuine friendship.

Morgan was preceded in death by his father, Horace Almon Brundrett; his mother, Mildred Lee Davis Brundrett; his brother, Rocky Brundrett; his sisters, Joanne Brundrett and Robyn Brundrett; and his sister, Shannon Brundrett DeGroat.

He is survived by his son, Almon Ray Brundrett; his brother, Larry Brundrett; and his nephews, Jake DeGroat, Aaron DeGroat, Brandon Lee DeGroat, and Chance Brundrett.

A celebration of Morgan's life will be held on Saturday, June 6, at 10:00 a.m. at Rockport Cemetery.
