Mildred “Millie” Louise Sharp, known lovingly as “MawMaw”, passed away peacefully on June 5th, 2026, at the age of 99 in Rockport, TX. Born July 24th,1926 to Frank Magee & Mae Edith Coward Magee in Nolan, Texas, Millie lived her formative years in Sinton, TX and graduated from Odem High School. She married the love of her life, Donald Douglas Sharp, with whom she shared 72 beautiful years of love and devotion. Together, they raised their four children after settling in Portland, TX. A heart of gold, Millie cherished her roles as a wife, mother, grandmother and dear friend. When she wasn’t devoting endless time to her family and friends, she enjoyed gardening, crocheting, playing the organ, games, and cooking. Millie lived a blessed life filled with joy and will be remembered for her affection, sharp mind, wit, and unwavering commitment to others. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Donald Douglas, son Donald Dwayne, granddaughter Kimberly Ann Blount, grandson Brian Curtis Baucum and sister Wanda Swan. She is survived by her daughters Marsha Lynn Vogel (Stan) of The Woodlands, Sharon Louise Blount (Jeff) of Edmond, Oklahoma, Karon Kay Baucum (John) of Rockport, 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. 

The family would like to thank Brookdale Senior Living in Portland and Rockport Nursing & Rehabilitation Center for the care and compassion they provided Millie in the last five years of her life. A private “Celebration of Life” will be held for the family in Rockport July 24th on what would have been Millie’s 100th birthday.
