Michael Decker

April 27, 1965 — September 5, 2024

Aransas Pass

We are saddened to announce the passing of our dear Michael Ray Decker, who departed from this world on September 5, 2024. Mike, as he was affectionately known, was born on April 27, 1965, in Covington, Kentucky. He spent his younger years in Covington and attended Woodbridge High School. In 2011, he tied the knot with the love of his life, Karen Sue Decker. Mike dedicated many years of hard work as a Millwright in the refineries, where he built lasting friendships and bonds with his colleagues. He also made dear friends and family at the Buckhorn Saloon, who will miss him greatly. He found immense joy in spending time with his family and friends, cherishing every moment shared with his loved ones.

Mike is survived by his beloved wife, Karen Decker, his dear siblings Bucky Decker and Angela King, as well as his three children: Spencer Decker, Chrissy Piper (Ryan), and Joey Beagle (Michelle). He was a loving grandfather to his four cherished grandchildren: Adelyn Decker, Court, Carter, and Levi. Preceding him in death were his parents, Roland and Shirley Decker, and his son, Brandon Decker, who he has now reunited with in eternal peace.

Beneath his tough exterior, Mike had a heart of gold and left us with countless precious memories that we will treasure forever. Though he may no longer be physically with us, his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. Rest in peace, dear Mike. Your presence will be deeply missed, but your memory will forever be cherished.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
