Martha Jo Henderson-Lewis, 65, of Aransas Pass, Texas, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones on September 12th, 2026. She was born on October 16th, 1960, in Houston, Texas.
Martha was a loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and devoted Christian. Her faith in God was an important part of her life, and she found great joy in spending time with her family. She was known for her loving and caring nature, wonderful sense of humor, and her beautiful personality.
Martha enjoyed a number of things: singing songs, crocheting, baking, and cheering on the Dallas Cowboys. Above all, she treasured time spent with her family. Some of her family’s most cherished memories include long conversations about life, cooking in the kitchen with her dancing to the music, and all the amazing holidays spent together as a family.
Martha is survived by her husband, Russell Lewis; her siblings, Donna Fowler, Lucas Limbrick, Dewayne Henderson, Bo Limbrick; her children, Aaron Lewis, Ashley Mings, and AJ Lewis; her grandchildren, Sierra Tyndall, Jewelee Lewis, Emily Lewis, Rusty Mings, Stormie Lewis, Michael Mings, Bobby Lewis, Sophie Mings, Zach Siebelts, and Conner Lewis; numerous nieces and nephews; and her thirteen great-grandchildren.
Martha’s greatest legacy will be the love she gave to her family and the memories she created with them. Her faith, laughter, kindness, and loving spirit will continue to live on through the many generations of her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Though she is no longer with us, Mimi’s love will remain in the hearts of her family; her faith will continue through the generations, and her memory will forever be cherished.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 17, 2026, at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Aransas Pass. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 18, 2026, at First Baptist Church of Aransas Pass. Burial will follow at Prairie View Cemetery.
