Obituary

With heavy hearts, we will gather to celebrate the vibrant life of Marsha Cecile Barganski, who passed away peacefully on September 14, 2026, at her home in Rockport, Texas. Born on October 18, 1944, in Ingleside, Texas, Marsha brought joy and creativity into the lives of everyone lucky enough to know her. Marsha’s passion for knitting, crochet, needlepoint, and jewelry-making was evident in the beautiful creations she gifted to family and friends. Her infectious humor and sharp wit could light up any room, often leaving us all in stitches. Family gatherings will forever be remembered for Marsha’s love of enchiladas, delectable shrimp dishes, and stuffed peppers, which brought everyone together in laughter and love.

A proud life member of the Women’s Auxiliary of the United Farm Workers, Marsha was an advocate for her community and someone who stood up for what she believed in. She is survived by her dear nephew, Melvin Mills, along with a loving family including nieces Tony Mills, Tracy Kowalik, Tonya French, and Melva Jones, as well as her great nephews Gunner Mills, TJ Kowalik, Jacob Kowalik, Wesley French, Bruce French, and great niece Victoria Jones. Each of them will carry her vibrant spirit in their hearts. Marsha is preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Juanita Barganski, brothers, Charles and Robert Barganski and one sister, Francis Darlene Mills.

Marsha will be profoundly missed, but her joyful spirit and the love she shared will live on in each of us. Let us celebrate her legacy filled with compassion, creativity, and boundless love.
