Marina Gonzales

April 11, 1950 — July 5, 2024

Marina Rangel Gonzales, born April 11th, 1950, in Aransas Pass, Texas, went to be with the Lord on July 5, 2024, at the Age of 74. 

She is preceded in death by her two sons, Nicolas Leonard and Raymundo Retta Jr.; parents, Simon and Esperanza R. Rangel; sister Irene Music. 

Marina leaves behind her loving husband, Louis Gonzales; her loving daughter, Esmeralda (Arthur Lesavoy); sisters, Antonia Preciado, Amelia Rangel, Pasty Bustos, and Norma Flores; brothers, Simon R. Rangel Sr. , Ernesto Rangel, Juan (Julie) Rangel, Gregorio (Yolanda) Rangel, Jesus Rangel, and Guadalupe Rangel; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members. 

She was known for her big kind and generous heart, loved family gatherings at her home, and was always there to help the family when needed. Marina also enjoyed traveling and playing Loteria (bingo). 

Visitation will be held 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Aransas Pass. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 17, 2024. A Mass will be held at 12:00 p.m. Thursday, July 18, 2024, at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church of Ingleside, Texas. Interment will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery in Corpus Christi, Texas.
