Loretta Schindler

Loretta “Jean” Schindler passed away on February 15, 2022 at the age of 84. Jean was born in Fulton, Texas, and married Charles Joseph Schindler on Valentine's Day, February 14, 1957.
Working as a real estate broker, she made sure to have time to pursue her passion, travel. Although she was born and raised in Aransas County, she lived for several years in Australia, but ultimately returned home to her beloved Rockport. As a Founding member of the Stinson-Simpson Chapter of the Daughters of The Republic of Texas, Jean spent many hours working with the DRT on the Fulton Schoolhouse Museum, an endeavor that gave her great pride and pleasure. Many knew and loved Jean and appreciated her love for the gulf coast and Rockport.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Joseph Schindler; grandson, Charles Joseph Schindler III.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her daughter, Elizabeth Guth; son, Charles Joseph Schindler II; grandchildren, Christopher White, Simone Ambrose Schindler, Charlotte Schindler, and Joshua Schindler.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 P.M.- 6:00 P.M. with a Rosary being recited at 5:00 P.M. on Sunday, February 20, 2022, at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Rockport. Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, February 21, 2022, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Rockport Cemetery.
