Lorenz Fraiser Ackerman

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our father, grandfather, and brother Lorenz Fraizer Ackerman.

Lorenz was born on December 17, 1940 in Pottstown, Pa to John Lorenz and Jeannette Blythe Ackerman, He served in the U.S. Army in transportation, which transitioned into his civilian life as having a long career as a truck driver.

Lorenz was a member of Church of Our Savior Church in Aransas Pass, his hobbies included collecting locomotives trains, watching nascar races, rescuing homeless animals and volunteering at his church.

Lorenz was preceded in death by his parents, wife Kathreen Ackerman and brother John Charles Franklin Ackerman.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, daughters Paula Cardona, Jeannette Butt (Phil),and Sandra Ackerman , son John Ackerman (Brenda), grandchildren Brandon Cardona (Lacey), Dana Braunsberg (Kyle), Jessica Guzman (Frankie), Augustine Ackerman, Krystall Bostick (Zebadiah), Jazzmen Adame, Vanessa Ackerman, J.J. Ackerman, Ethan Ackerman and Dallas Kirtland ,19 great-grandchildren along with sister Virginia Slichter (Charles).

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date at the Church of Our Savior in Aransas Pass
