Rockport

Loma Louise McMahon, 77, was called home to Heaven on the morning of March 7, 2026. She was born on September 2, 1948, in Joliet, Illinois.

Loma lived a life rooted in faith, love, and devotion to her family. She dedicated 37 years of service to California State University, Los Angeles before retiring. After retirement, she continued working alongside her beloved husband at McMahon Construction Services for five years, enjoying the time they spent together.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 43 years, Robert McMahon; her daughters, Cristin Enholm and Kristen McMahon; her three granddaughters; her great-granddaughter; her sister Sharon Walker and her Brother, Russell Carnes Jr.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Shirley Carnes; her son, Kevin Shaffstall; and her sister, Sandra Maxey.

Loma was a giving, kindhearted, and faithful woman whose greatest joy in life was loving and caring for those around her. She loved shopping, cooking meals for her family, and traveling with her husband as they made beautiful memories together. In her free time, Loma loved crocheting blankets for family, friends, and every new baby welcomed into the family. Each blanket was lovingly made and given as a symbol of her warmth, care, and generosity. To her family and Friends, Loma was known as the "Queen of Hearts." Not only because she loved hearts, but simply for her love of love. Her kindness, faith, and joyful spirit brightened the lives of everyone who knew her. Though she is no longer with us, the love she shared and the memories she created will live on in the hearts of those who loved her. Loma will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who were blessed to know her.
