,Logan Oliver Garrett passed away on December 21, 2025. He was 96 years old. He was born in Kingsville, Texas to James and Francis Garrett.
Logan served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1947 to 51. During his tours he participated in multiple campaigns, including the seizure of Inchon and capture and securing of Seoul, he received the China Service medal. He was a true and proud member of the Marine Corps.
He worked as an electrician and a member of IVEW.
Years later, he moved to Port Aransas, Texas, and started a fishing guide career. He was on the cover of the sports fishing magazine and was titled the master of the seas. He loved fishing and especially sharing his TALL fishing tales.
Survived by his son, Michael Logan Garrett; grandson, Logan Michael Garrett; sister in law, Melba Hecox; niece, Dena Jackson (RJ); nephews, Wesley Hecox (Pam) and Thomas Hecox (Penny); and great friend, Loree Vanderwater.
