Lisa Lynde Horner Franciskato, age 70, born in Kansas City, Missouri on April 20, 1953, passed away in Corpus Christi, Texas on April 2, 2024.

Lisa was preceded in death by her loving parents, Dwight Cooke Horner and Josephine Pace Horner; her paternal Grandparents, Oliver Howard Horner and Edna Cooke Horner, and her maternal Grandparents, Harry Herbert Pace and Ethlynde Bibb Pace.

She is survived by her husband of 24 years, David L. Franciskato; daughter, Andrea L. Horner; son, Jason A. Ziegenfuss; stepson, Paul Franciskato; sister ,Gail H. Gage (husband, Hires); niece, Bailey G. Charles (husband, Art and their children Ward ,Winston and Edwin) and nephew, Logan P. Gage . The final seven years of Lisa’s life were spent residing in Rockport, Texas. Prior to that, she lived in the Kansas City area and Branson, Missouri. We believe that she would claim her childhood home at Lake Quivira, Kansas as the home of her heart.

Lisa was a 1971 graduate of Shawnee Mission Northwest High School in Shawnee, Kansas. Many lifelong friendships were made growing up at Lake Quivira and during her high school years. People who knew her well will remember her as being outgoing and bubbly! She loved meeting and talking with people, considering them as friends moving forward. She spent time employed at BMA Insurance Company, as an apartment leasing agent and as a tourism photographer in Branson.

The family would like to express their gratitude for the loving care and attention given to Lisa during recent months by Nurses on Wheels Hospice of Corpus Christi and to Lisa’s and David’s wonderful neighbors, Amy and John Grogan.

A celebration of Lisa’s life will take place in Kansas City at a future date, yet to be determined. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Alzheimer Association of Overland Park, (8001 Conser #240, Overland Park, Kansas, 66204) or The Turners Syndrome Society, in Lisa's daughter's name, Andrea Horner  (11250 West Road, Suite G, Houston, Texas, 77065).
