Leon Lemmons

Rockport, Texas

Leon Lemmons passed away on June 2, 2020 at the age of 77 at his residence in Rockport, TX.  He was a man of many hobbies throughout his lifetime.  As a young adult, he raced dragsters.  In his late 20’s, he was a semi professional photographer.  Always a gun enthusiast and an avid hunter, he took many hunting trips with friends throughout his life.  After retiring, he finally realized his lifelong dream of becoming a fishing guide on the gulf coast and ran a fishing guide business called The Water Wolf.  When he was no longer able to guide fishing trips, he became interested in archery.  As with any interest, Leon gave 100% to anything he attempted.  He became a staff shooter for Archery Outfitters International, and won several state championships for his age class in Archery.

He is preceded in death by parents, Reuel and Imogene Lemmons; brother, Don Norvel Lemmons.

Leon has left to cherish his memory his companion, Ann Warren; son, Donald Lemmons (Kathy); daughter, Gena Hunn (Ron); grandchildren, Steven Lemmons, Matthew Lemmons, Justin Hunn (April), and Paige Saunders (Andrew); great-grandchild, Jacobs A. Lemmons.

Leon had many friends throughout his life and will be dearly missed.

There will be a visitation at 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Saturday, June 6, 2020 at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Aransas Pass where friends and loved one can say their goodbyes.  Feel free to leave a memento with Leon commemorating your connection with him, you may do so.
