Lavada "Jeanie" Jean Tawater

Lavada "Jeanie" Jean Tawater was born March 9, 1955 to James and Maxine Stevens. She was a one of nine children.

Jeanie loved life. She moved to Rockport and found the love of her life Jerry Tawater with Jerry she discovered her left for the ocean. She was a fast learner of fish. Sadly Jerry got sick and he passed away with her by his side. Jeanie was a people pleaser all she ever wanted was for everyone around her to be happy. If you met her, she was your friend and family.

On December 23, 2025 at 3:20 AM she went to be with all that left her behind. Her son and daughter were with her Larry Tate (Opel) and Katherine Lauterbach (James) of Rockport.

She taught us resilience, kindness, and the importance of family.

We will carry her memory in our hearts forever.
