Laila Luhman

Laila Luhman passed away February 21, 2019 just short of her 96th birthday. Laila was a welder during WWII and then worked for the US Air Force as a systems programmer at the beginning of the computer era.

She retired to Conifer, Colorado where she lived a good life with her dog Brandy at 9,000 feet in the mountains. Her next adventure was living 20 years in a fifth wheel while traveling all around the US.

She married Franklin Blackman while traveling in the fifth wheel. Nine years later Franklin passed away after they settled down in Wheatridge, Colorado. She later moved to Rockport, Texas to be near her daughter.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda Frank (Norman); her two grandsons and their wives, and two great-grandsons.

Private services will be held in Colorado.
