Kathreen Ackerman

Kathreen Ackerman 78 of Aransas Pass, Texas passed away March 17, 2022. She was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan on April 15, 1943 to Wilbur and Joyce Sandmeyer. She attended TSTC where she studied Restaurant Management. She married Lorenz Ackerman on July of 1963. She was a member of the Episodical Church of Our Savior Aransas Pass. She supported her husband Lorenz in driving a 18 wheeler for Anderson Trucking Services. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, sewing dolls for her grandchildren and sewing dolls to donate to world ministries and volunteering with the church.

She is preceded in death by her father Wilbur Sandmeyer, her mother Joyce Sandmeyer, sister Paula Sandmeyer and sister Sharon Cooke. She is survived by her husband Lorenz Ackerman, her daughter Paula Cardona, her son John Ackerman and wife Brenda, her daughter Sandra Ackerman, her daughter Jeannette Butt and husband Phillip, and her grandchildren Dana Braunsberg and husband Kyle, Brandon Cardona and wife Lacey Ernst, Jessica Guzman and husband Francisco, Vanessa Ackerman, John Ackerman Jr, Dallas Kirkland, Peeks Ackerman, Augustine Ackerman, Krystal Bostick and husband Zebadian, Jazzmen Adame, Phillip Butt Jr and 10 great grandchildren and a sister Virginia Slichter and husband Charles.

In Lieu of Flowers the family asks that a donation be made to the American Cancer Society.

A memorial service is scheduled for April 23, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Church of Our Savior Aransas Pass
