Karen Mayer was born on a Friday, September 10, 1948, right here in Aransas Pass, Texas, to Raymond “Boots” and Ruby Hilbrich. She passed from this life into eternity at a hospital in Corpus Christi, early Monday morning, July 31, 2026. She was 77 years, 10 months and 21 days. 

Karen is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold; and her sister, Sandra K. Hilbrich.

Karen was a graduate of Aransas Pass High School and years later, became the Aransas Pass City Secretary for many years. She will be missed by those that knew and loved her!

A Gathering of friends will be held on Friday, August 7, 2026 from 10am-12pm at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Aransas Pass. Graveside will be private.
