Julius "Jay" Kersten, Jr. passed away on October 17, 2017. Jay was born on November 8, 1939 in Houston, Texas to Julius W. Kersten, Sr. and Marion Wonderlich Kersten. Jay was known as a man of few words by his friends and had been a resident of Rockport for the past 21 years. He also served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He is survived by his wife, Judy Kersten of Rockport; son, Dwight and wife, Devon of Trinity, TX; two daughters, Rita and husband, Jamie Higgins of Montgomery County, TX and
Sally, and husband Ken Gregory of Summerville, TX; brother Paul and wife, Nancy Kersten of Georgetown, TX; two sisters, Judith Kerschik of Gilmer, TX and Grace Phillips of Houston, TX; five grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Private family services.
