Jude Thaddeus “Ted” Gawlik, 75 passed away October 22, 2021. He was born October 17, 1946 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He proudly served in the US Navy during Vietnam.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Paul Gawlik, Sr. and Helen Gawlik; brothers, Paul, Jr., John, Tom, Jerry; sisters, Cathy Hunst and Mildred Bean.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Ilene Gawlik; son, Mark Anthony Horton; daughters, Laura Brotzman, Karen Williams, Deanna Horton, Michelle Horton; brothers, Vernon Gawlik, Michael Gawlik, Felix Gawlik, Joe Gawlik, Chris Gawlik, Sr., Mark Gawlik; sisters, Joyce Poteet, Linda Gawlik Mills, Elizabeth Segal, Peggy Benton; 13 grandchildren, Sarah Powers, Wesley Williams, Andrew Moss, Joshua Lanpher, Jacob Bell, Jennifer and Merissa Horton, Amber Carver, Elizabeth Scott, Meredith Brotzman, Renee and Buddy Williams, Amanda Dougherty and 17 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 3:00p.m.-5:00p.m. Sunday, November 7, 2021 at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home, Rockport. Funeral service will begin at 10:00a.m. Monday, November 8, 2021 at Coastal Oaks Church, Rockport. A Graveside Service with Military Honors will follow at 2:00p.m. at the Coastal Bend State Veteran’s Cemetery in Corpus Christi.

Pallbearers will be Mark Horton, Andrew Moss, Jacob Bell, Mark Gawlik, Sr., Chris Gawlik, Jr., and Felix Gawlik.

Expressions of sympathy may be made by donations to Disabled American Veterans.
