Juan (Johnny) Avitia, 49, of Ingleside, Texas passed away Saturday, August 28, 2021, at Corpus Christi Hospital. He was born on August 10, 1972, to Jose and Clemencia Avitia. Johnny was a man of God who lived his life helping others in any way that he could. Johnny’s favorite pastime was fishing with his family.

Johnny is preceded in death by his parents, Clemencia and Jose Avitia Sr.

He is survived by his loving wife, Asanet Avitia; sons, John Joshua Avitia, of Grand Prairie, Texas, Azariah Zion Avitia of Ingleside, Texas; daughter, Allison Merari Avitia of Ingleside, Texas; brothers, Joe (Maria) Avitia of Ingleside, Texas, and Vinny ( Adriane) Avitia of Aransas Pass, Texas; two nephews, Joseph (Courtney) Avitia and Marcus Avitia of Ingleside, Texas; three great-nieces and one nephew, Madilynn, Raileigh, Alex, and Anastasia Avitia of Ingleside, Texas; numerous family and friends that he loved dearly.

Visitation 12:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Saturday, September 4, 2021, at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home. Prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Saturday, September 4, 2021, at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be led by Pastor Eli Adame at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 5, 2021, at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Aransas Pass, Texas. Interment to follow at San Ignacio Cemetery.
