Juanita Garza Ramos passed away November 8, 2025. She was 89 years old. She was born July 4, 1936 in Edinburg, Texas to Christobal and Francisca Garza.
Juanita’s greatest passion was her family. She found immense joy in being a housewife, relishing every opportunity to nurture and care for her loved ones. Whether it was through her delightful cooking or the warmth of her presence, she created a home filled with love, comfort, and laughter. Her love of the outdoors was evident in her many cherished moments camping and gardening, where she often found peace and happiness under the sun.
Though Juanita is now reunited with many beloved family members, including her parents; and loving husband, Nicolas Ramos; son, Guadalupe Ramos; and infant daughter, Belia Ramos, her memory remains a guiding force in the hearts of all she touched. She is also preceded in death by her dear sister, Josephine, brothers, Pate and Pablo Garza, and treasured grandchildren, Ernesto Chapa, Jr., Christopher Ramos, Sandra Ramos, and great-grandchildren, Destiny Santos and Marisa Mendoza, along with her son-in-law, David Black.
Left to cherish her memory are her 6 sons, Nicolas Ramos (Cheri) of Houston, Tx, Luis Ramos, David Ramos (Theresa), Albaro Ramos (Elizabeth), Alfonso Ramos (Emily), and Ponce Ramos (Liza) all of Rockport, Tx.; 3 daughters, Maria Black of Santa Fe, Tx., Belia Ramos of Portland, Tx., and Frances Vasquez (Renee) of Bloomington, Tx.; daughter in law, Gloria Ramos of Rockport, Tx.; 2 sisters, Anita Dominguez of Rockport, Tx. ; Rosie Martinez of Houston, Tx.; and half sister, Rosie Garza of Rockport, Tx. 41 grandchildren; 69 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.
Pallbearers will be Alfonso Ramos, David Ramos, Ponce Ramos, Albaro Ramos, Erasmo Garza, Pablo Garza Jr. The honorary pallbearers will be Luis Ramos, and Nicolas Ramos, Jr.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, November 16, 2025 from 10:00 am until 11:00 AM. The funeral service will be at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at the Rockport Cemetery.
As we remember Juanita, let us hold close the joyful memories and the love she so generously shared. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know her.
