Juan Lopez of Ingleside, Texas, passed away on June 16, 2026. He was born in Gregory on January 13, 1958, to Macario Lopez and Adela Garcia.

 Juan worked in construction most of his life. He was a jack of all trades, from painting, woodworking, and maintenance. Everywhere he worked he claimed to be “The supervisor.” Juan was a loving and caring father who enjoyed gardening, barbequing for his kids, feeding his chickens, collecting his Indian sculptures, and just hanging out with his family and friends, listening to good ole old school music. He was fierce and unapologetic, with a take-it-or-leave-it attitude that made it clear he wasn’t concerned with anyone’s approval. He was a beloved husband of 43 years to his wife, Maryjane Pena. Together they shared a life with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. 

Juan is survived by his wife, MaryJane Pena. His children are Sylvia Lopez (Michael Flores), Crystal Lopez (Xavier Lopez), Juan Lopez Jr, Carlos Lopez (Ciara Villarreal), Santos Lopez (Ashley Lopez), and 14 grandchildren. He is also survived by 4 brothers and 4 sisters. He is preceded in death by his parents, Marcario Lopez, Adela Garcia, and 3 brothers.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home. With a Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m., on Thursday, June 25, 2026. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 26, 2026, at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Aransas Pass. Burial to follow at San Ignacio Cemetery.
