Joseph Gustave DeGrange, Jr.
Joseph Gustave DeGrange, Jr., beloved father, son, and brother, a resident of Aransas Pass, TX, age 32, went home, with his sister Rebekah DeGrange, to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 23, 2021. He was born September 25, 1988, in Corpus Christi, Texas to Joseph Gustave and Gail Ann DeGrange.
Joseph grew up in the Coastal Bend Area. He learned karate and attended the Apostolic Temple and later Temple of Praise. He played soccer and was part of the Aransas Pass High School ROTC program. After high school he studied electrical systems, worked in construction, and worked as a tattoo artist. He enjoyed creative arts and sketching. He played piano and guitar. He was bilingual with Spanish as a second language. His happiest moments were spent with his children Colton and Jaylynn. He loved his children and family more than anything. Joseph was a fiercely loyal friend, brave, loving, humble, and charismatic, one of the kindest people one could ever hope to meet. His bright eyes and charming smile could light up the world.
He is preceded in death by his father, Joseph DeGrange, Sr., and his sister, Kennetha “Kittie” DeGrange.
Left to cherish his memory are: his mother, Gail DeGrange, his children; a son, Colton and daughter, Jaylynn; his sisters, Darla Freeze, Marjorie (Tony) Downum, Jo (Jeff) Johnson, Kristian (Geo) Coventry; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, February 1, 2021 at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home located at 2003 West Wheeler Avenue, Aransas Pass, Texas.
Interment to follow at Prairie View Cemetery.
A reception will be held afterward for close friends and family at the Aransas Pass Civic Center.
