Joseph Jon “JJ” Coronado passed away on February 22, 2022. He was 24 years old. He was born July 31, 1997, in San Antonio, Texas to Joe Coronado and Margaret Blanchard.

"JJ" was raised in the Pleasanton and Rockport area by his loving grandparents, John and Etta Coppinger. “JJ” enjoyed fishing, cold beer, fireball, and jamming out to good music. If you were lucky sometimes you would get to witness his dance skills. He was always the life of the party and put a smile on everyone’s face that crossed his path “JJ” loved all children, and he was a friend to everyone.  His greatest love was his son, Jayden Jon "Little JJ".  Joseph.“JJ” was an amazing dad, friend, family member, co-worker, and will be forever missed.

“JJ” is preceded in death by his grandmother, Etta Coppinger; grandfather, Joe Coronado, Sr; great grandmother, Margaret Smith; uncle, Terry Whetstone Sr.

Left to cherish his memory is his son, Jayden Jon "Little JJ"; two very special people who played a big role in his life, Matt, and Tiffanie Simpson, and their two boys that “JJ” thought of as little brothers, Treyton and Michael Simpson all of Rockport; father, Joe Coronado, Jr. of Pleasanton; mother, Margaret Blanchard of California; brothers, Joel Coronado of Rockport; Christian, Roland, and Joe Michael Coronado; sisters, Heather and Stephanie Ortiz, and Sarah Coronado all of Pleasanton; paternal grandmother, Stella Coronado of Pleasanton; maternal grandfather, John Coppinger of Pettus; mother to his child, Micah Fox of Rockport; and to many to list by name, cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends that meant the world to “JJ”.

A celebration of life will be held Monday, February 28, 2022, at 2:00 pm at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Rockport, Texas. Burial will be private.
