Jose Pedro Cantu, 81, of Rockport, Texas, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2025. Born on June 29, 1944, Jose was a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend who touched the lives of all who knew him and found joy in the outdoors.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Angelina Cantu, his siblings, and parents. He is survived by his children,: Joe Cantu Jr, Rick & Michelle Cantu, David Cantu, Linda & Ponce Guerrero, and John Cantu, as well as 16 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, extended family members, and friends who will carry his memory in their hearts.

Jose will be remembered for his strength, strong-willed nature, and love for hunting and fishing. His legacy lives on in the lives of those who were blessed to know him.

The viewing will be held Sunday, October 5, 2025 from 10:00 am until service time of 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at the Rockport Cemetery.
