Jonathan Raymond Marshall, Jr.

Jonathan R. (Jay) Marshall, Jr. age 59 of Aransas Pass, Texas passed away June 10, 2025.

He was born on November 21, 1965 in Aransas Pass, Texas to Jonny and Donna Marshall. He graduated from Aransas Pass High School In 1984. Jonathan worked at the local HEB grocery store over 5 years and then over 10 years as a receptionist/courier for H&R Block also here in Aransas Pass.

He loved bowling and playing board games and cards. He painted and did word puzzles. He especially enjoyed music from country, 50/60s to pop and rock. He was a big fan of comedy-movies, live shows, TV, and albums from Ray Stevens, George Carlin and Bill Cosby.

As a child he endured many surgeries and obstacles but always had a smile on his face and loved telling the latest jokes to everyone. He liked traveling when he was able and shared an interest in caves with his father. His favorite show of all time was MASH, most episodes he could recite verbatim.

Jay was preceded in death by his mother and father and grandparents. He is survived by his uncle Johnny Allen of White Oak, TX and his aunt Doris Trahan of Highlands, TX, his cousin/sister Elizabeth Marshall of Aransas Pass, TX and numerous first, second, and third cousins, his girlfriend of twenty years Sandy Benham and his best friend since kindergarten Michael Zepeda.

A Memorial Celebration will be held at 11:00am on Monday June 16, 2025 at Charlie Marshall Funeral Homes.
