Jon Michael Laws passed away peacefully on October 16, 2025, in Rockport, Texas, embraced in the loving arms of his devoted Angel, Aron Fay Tann. Born to the late Jane Josephine Laws and John David Laws, Jon lived a life marked by generosity, humor, and an unwavering ability to connect with others.

Jon's vibrant personality left an indelible mark on everyone he met. His infectious laughter and warm spirit made him a natural friend to many-so much so that his children often joked he had a special gift for "recruiting" friends wherever he went. Whether sharing a story, lending a helping hand, or simply lighting up a room with his presence, Jon embodied kindness and authenticity.

A passionate Pittsburgh Steelers fan, Jon took his love for the team to legendary levels. He transformed his truck into a tribute to the black and gold, catching the attention of Swift Transportation, who affectionately nicknamed him "Steelers Nation." His attire was equally iconic-black and yellow sneakers paired with matching socks and shorts, topped off with shirts in yellow, black, gray, or white. Jon didn't just support his team; he lived it, proudly and unapologetically-making Jon the biggest Steelers fan of all time.

Among Jon's proudest accomplishments were the births of his children and grandchildren, and his nearly 20 years of recovery through Narcotics Anonymous. His journey was one of strength, humility, and deep gratitude. He truly loved everyone who supported him along the way, and he especially cherished RBS-Recovery By The Sea. Every year, Jon made it a priority to attend, and once the music started, his dance moves followed. But what he loved most was hearing others share their stories of recovery. He listened with compassion and understanding, knowing firsthand the trials and tribulations they had faced.

Jon often said that Aron, Jack, his children and grandchildren, and Aron's children were his family-but Narcotics Anonymous was the biggest part of his life. He was proud to be part of that community, and even prouder that they allowed him to be part of theirs.

Jon's kindness and zest for life made him unforgettable. He will be forever loved by Aron, who-no matter what-made sure he was truly loved and cared for, even in his darkest hour. He will be missed by Jack, the first pug to become a Narcotics Anonymous mascot; wherever Jon was, Jack was too. He is also survived by his children, who reside in Pennsylvania and Maryland: Tiffanie Laws, Ashley Jankiewicz, Mariah Laws, Jon Michael Laws Jr., Zak Nicol, and Jay Knight; along with several grandchildren who will always carry his memory in their hearts.

Jon-Crazy Jon, Steelers Nation-however you knew him, may you now rest in peace knowing that your torch will keep burning in the hearts of everyone you touched. Know that Aron and Jack will always and forever be part of your biggest family, known as Narcotics Anonymous.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Charlie Marshall Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2003 West Wheeler Avenue, Aransas Pass, TX 78336. Stories will be shared, laughter will echo, and Jon's life will be honored with the love he so freely gave.
