John Dana Cobb, 67 went to be with the Lord on November 10, 2021. He passed at home surrounded by his loved ones.
John was born on August 31, 1954 to Lee Peggy Cobb in Corsicana, Tx. Shortly after that his family relocated to Rockport, Tx where he was raised and attended school. John was the youngest of 4 children and loved his brother and sisters very much. As an adult, John moved to Aransas Pass where he soon met his wife Sharon. Together they had a son, Michael. John was a loving father and never missed an opportunity to coach his son’s sports teams. He also spent a number of years as an umpire, mainly for girls softball. He traveled to Michigan to the Little League World Series in softball to officiate the games. John worked for TxDOT for around 20 years where he built many life long friendships. In his free time, John loved to hunt and was very skilled at woodworking. John took pride in everything he did, always giving his all. You could really see this if you ever saw his amazing display he put together in his yard for Christmas every year. Every night, people would pass by and smile, it was always a sight and every year there was something new that he had come up with. John loved the Lord and served as a Deacon at the First Baptist Church in Ingleside where he helped lead the rebuilding of the church after the hurricane. John had an amazing personality and was always quick to lend a helping hand.
John was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters Brenda Graves.
John is survived by his wife Sharon Cobb, Son Michael Cobb, grandchildren Paris Perez and Sean Cobb, sister Sherry Cross, brother Terry (Kay) Cobb, brother in law, Billy Graves.
