Joe "Lone Wolf" Garcia

It is with heavy hearts but joyful memories that we announce the passing of Joe Angel Garcia, who left this world surrounded by love on November 15, 2025, at the age of 96. Born on April 20, 1929, Joe was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend who touched the lives of all who knew him. Joe, a proud plumber and electrical contractor, dedicated his career to serving his community before retiring at the age of 65. His commitment to service continued as a member of the Rockport VFW, DAV, and the GI Forum, where he cherished the camaraderie and shared experiences with fellow veterans. Beyond his work, Joe had a vibrant spirit that shone through his many passions. He loved Native American dancing, which connected him to deep cultural roots, and spent countless hours tending to his beautiful garden. His talents also extended to woodworking, coloring, and reading, pursuits that brought him joy and fulfillment. 

Joe is preceded in death by his father, Donieciano Garcia, mother, Josephine Dominguez, and his brothers, Daniel and Felix Garcia Jr. He leaves behind his loving wife, Lou Ann Garcia, and a family that will carry his memory: children, Butch Garcia, Rose Ann Smyeson, Mary Jane Sifunetes, and Melissa Turpin; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren, alongside numerous aunts, uncles, and a legion of friends who will miss his warmth and wisdom. 

In Joe’s memory, let us dance, and gather as he loved to do—embracing life with the same passion and joy that he brought to us all. Rest in peace, Joe. You will forever remain in our hearts.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2025 at 10 a.m. at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Rockport, Texas with a graveside to follow at Fulton Cemetery.
