It is with very heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joe L. DeAses, son, husband, father, brother, and nephew, who left us peacefully at his home on June 7, 2025.
Joe was born the oldest son to Joe and Mary DeAses on December 26, 1960, in Refugio, Texas.
Joe was a dedicated law enforcement officer for many years in this area, and most recently the owner of Tamale's Joe. He loved all to do with the outdoors and was an avid hunter. Joe's favorite pastime was spending quality time with his cherished family.
He is preceded in death by his father as well as his paternal and maternal grandparents.
Joe is survived by his mother, Mary DeAses; loving wife of 39 years, Dawn DeAses, his two beautiful daughters and their husbands, Melynda (Cody) Carlisle and Jessica Claypool (George Magee); four grandchildren, Zackary Carlisle, Dalton Walters, Skylar Walters, and Liam Claypool, along with his two brothers.
Joe will be deeply missed, his memories now being cherished and forever loved.
We would like to invite friends and family to join us in reciting a holy rosary at 3:15 pm on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, and a celebration of Joe's life at 4 pm. Both at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Aransas Pass
