Ingleside

Jewell Annette Adams was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She left this world on March 14, 2022 after a battle with pancreatic cancer at the age of 85.

Annette was born in Glen Rose, TX on July 26, 1936 to Samuel Acie Kimbrell and Evelyn Todd Kimbrell. After attending school in Aransas Pass and Flour Bluff, she graduated from Flour Bluff High School and married her husband Andrew Adams, Jr. Together they had five children; Ronald, Deborah, Sheryl, Pamela and Margaret. They traveled the world abroad while they were in their early years of marriage, as Andy was serving in the U.S. Navy.

Annette loved spending time in the kitchen baking and preparing meals for her family to gather around the table and sharing her love and kindness with her family. She also loved sewing and shared the skill with her daughters. She always ensured that her family had everything they needed and were all well taken care of. Annette served many years as an Ingleside 4-H Club leader and was a life member of the Women’s Auxiliary VFW Post # 2032.

She is survived by her loving husband Andy of 67 years, her 5 children: Ronnie Adams and Debbie Ann of Abilene, TX, Debbie Taylor and David of Natalia, TX, Sherie Adams of Aransas Pass, Pam Adams Picou of Aransas Pass, and Margaret Adams of Sinton. In addition, she is also survived by her 12 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Virginia Whitney of Corpus Christi, her brother Bobbie Kimbrell of Flour Bluff, and her twin sister Jeanette Jones of Carrollton, TX. She is preceded in death by her brother Acie J. Kimbrell and her sister Carmelita Giles.
