Jason John Torres went home with Jesus Christ his Savior on May 3, 2023. Jason was born in Aransas Pass, Texas on September 9, 1984, to Arnulfo “Ernie” and Olivia Torres, where he was raised in a Christian home.

Jason is preceded to heaven by his mother, Olivia Montez Torres.

Survived by his father, Arnulfo “Ernie” P. Torres Sr.; siblings, Arnulfo “Ernie” (Erlinda) Torres, Jr., Beatriz (Fernando) Torres, Major Al (Sonia) Torres; a plethora of nieces, and nephews; as well as great nieces and nephews; lifelong friends; finally, Jason is survived by the love of his life, Olivia Govea Torres; stepchildren, Ricky, Lloyd, Jillian and Joseph.

Jason graduated from Aransas Pass High School in 2003 and was a member of the National Honor Society. During his high school years Jason started his service to the community in the Aransas Pass Police Department Explorer Program. This started a foundation to many years of service as a Police Officer to Aransas Pass after getting his degree from Coastal Bend College. Jason served as a Patrolman and K9 Officer and a reserved Police Officer in Gregrory, Texas.

Jason later began a career as a licensed Journeyman Level Electrician with MMR. He furthered his education by taking classes with OSHA and became HSE Safety which completed his career with MMR. As a professional Jason saved many lives. Jason’s life was always about service. Those who had the honor to work with and know him, knew his loving personality, that he was always cracking jokes, had a hero attitude and was always the first to jump in to save his co-workers. Jason was larger than life, the life of the party and fearless.

Jason and Olivia began their marriage in church unlimited setting a firm foundation with God. Jason loved his wife Olivia, very much but his love for God and his faith made him the amazing man he was. He will always be well known to be a believer in Christ. Jason had joined his savior in Heaven.

Visitation will be held at 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Friday, May 12, 2023, at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Aransas Pass. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 13, 2023, at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home.
