Janice Faye Wilson, age 87, entered eternal rest on June 15, 2026. She was born July 19, 1938, in Refugio, Texas to the late J.B. and Helen Louise Gumm. She was born and raised in Refugio, Texas. She graduated from Refugio High School in 1956 and was a proud RHS Bobcat. She was most athletic in high school. She loved sports, especially watching football. She went to Durham’s Business College. She was the beloved wife of the late John Lloyd Wilson, Sr.. She was a bookkeeper for Slack Engineering for over 40 years. She also worked for Claybrook Services, Mid-Coast Lease Service and Titan Perforating.
Janice was a member of the First Baptist Church in Refugio. She enjoyed sports, traveling and spending time with her family and friends.
Janice is preceded in death by her brothers Wayne Gumm, Billy Gumm, sisters Kay Wotipka, and Patricia Sellers.
Janice was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, sister , aunt and friend whose life revolved around the people she loved mostly – her family. She leaves behind her family who will cherish her memory: her sisters Carol L. Niemann (Delbert) of Missouri City, Texas, and Cynthia Campbell (Richard) of New Braunfels, Texas. She leaves behind her children: Leigh Ann Brown (Jeff) of Portland, Lloyd Wilson (Lori) of Portland and Cheryl Houston (Chris) Euless, TX and step-son David Wilson & 6 beloved grandchildren and 3 precious great grandchildren. Remembered by her many nieces and nephews.
