James Turner

James Morton Turner, 83, passed away on April 15, 2023. James was born on August 6, 1939, to parents William and Irene Turner in Austin, Texas.

Preceded in death by his parents, William Morton and Irene LeCourt Turner; grandson, Travis Williford.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Pearlie Williford Turner; son, Steven (Lynnette) Turner; daughter, Kerry (Dennis) Smith; grandsons, Winston and Clint Smith, and Logan Turner; stepchildren, John (Janet) Williford, Denise (Richard) Clickner, and Clifton (Becky) Williford; Nine grandchildren total; twenty-eight great-grandkids; seven great-great-grandchildren.

James ran Turner Painting Company for over forty years before retiring to Rockport, Texas. He loved the Texas Longhorn Football team, fishing and was a member of the Bass Club. He enjoyed traveling with his wife, Pearlie and was involved with motor cross with his son Steven. He was also a Deer Hunter and enjoyed his Tropical Gardens and Landscaping.

James will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
