James Borden

James Gail "Bebo" Borden, 64, of Mathis, Texas passed away peacefully at his home and surrounded by family on July 17, 2017. He was born on November 15, 1952 in Refugio, Texas to Walter and Jeanna Borden.

Bebo was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Kodie Lynne Borden-Muro. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 15 years, Erin Sportsman Borden; daughters, Leslie Michelle Borden and Sara Lindsey Boenig-Langridge (Cody); brother, Richard Dean Borden (Nancy); sisters, Sylvia Jean Simpson (Ronnie) and Tammy Kay Theriot; grandchildren, Sydney, Millie, Codi, Brooke and Hayes.

Bebo was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and dear friend to so many. He was a man who enjoyed the simple things in life. He loved his family and was happiest when he was around them. He was an avid fisherman and loved spending time out in the water. He loved camping and the outdoors and had a profound love for his Dallas Cowboys. Bebo was great man with a huge heart and although he is gone, his memories, warmth and life lessons will live in our hearts forever.

Family services will be private, arrangements entrusted to Charlie Marshall Funeral Home.
