Hugh Wayne

Hugh Forsyth Wayne was born November 10th, 1956, in Corpus Christi and the world was never the same.  A brave and energetic soul, Hugh embraced life without hesitation.  The second son of Elmer and Mary Jo Wayne, he spent his childhood with brothers Doug and Bryn, in both Texas and Kansas enjoying nature and all it had to offer.  His love of camping, fishing, and hunting (guns) brought him many friends.  Hugh met the love of his life, Susan Cook Wayne, while dancing and continued to twirl her around the house for the next forty-three years.  He taught his love of wilderness, sweet tea, and spirited debate to his daughters Heather and Larna, and made sure every moment of their childhoods was filled with love.  Hugh passed while resting peacefully with his beloved wife Susan by his side on August 21st, 2022.  Hugh is survived by his wife Susan, daughters Heather Blair and Larna Tyson, sons-in-law Jacob and Caleb, and grandsons Seth, Jett, and Liam, as well as his brothers Douglas and Bryn and their families.
