Henry Fred “Rip” Riebschlaeger, Jr. passed away on March 12, 2020. He was 77 years old. He was born on October 6, 1942 in Kirtley, Texas to Henry Fred Riebschlaeger, Sr. and Clara Kremling Riebschlaeger.
Rip proudly served in the U. S. Navy and the Coast Guard Reserves and he retired from CCAD after 30 plus years. Rip was a very proud “Bluff Rat” and enjoyed taking the Flour Bluff 8th graders to the yearly HEB camping trip in Leaky, Texas, loved, fishing, and spending time with his friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Allen Hockley, Sr.
Rip is survived by his sons, Fred Allen Riebschlaeger (Kris) from Canyon Lake, Texas, and Lonnie Riebschlaeger (Suzie) from Flour Bluff, Texas, daughter, Vicki A. Norman (Brian) of San Benito, Texas; sister, Connie Hockley of Flour Bluff, Texas; grandchildren, Jessica Kaizer (Alex), Dalton Norman (Kayla), Sandra Guillen (Gilbert), Sydney Kay Sheffield (Elijah), Victoria Zinkgraf (Bobby), Cheyenne Riebschlaeger; great-grandchildren, Ava and Sadie Sheffield, Liam and Landon Guillen, James, Lucas, and Jenna Zinkgraf, and Renly and Draven Norman; nephew, Allen Hockley, Jr.; niece, Rhonda Wilcox (Charlie); cousin, Leroy Steinacher; and many many friends that will miss him dearly.
