Helen Mcmillan

Helen Getrude McMillan, 99, of Rockport, Texas passed away on March 24th, 2023.

She was born in Johnstown, PA on September 25th, 1923. Helen graduated from the school of hard knocks but had a love for life.

She is preceded in death by her first husband William H. Shaffer and her second husband, Curtis McMillian; a son, Donald Shaffer.

Helen worked as a secretary for the Naval research Laboratory, Plasma Physics Division, in Washinton, DC. She was a member of the VFW and had a passion for crocheting, quilting, and baking the best damn apricot pies you would ever taste.

She is survived by her son Robert (Diane) Shaffer, her daughter Debbie (Alan) Leong, her daughter Brenda Steward, and her daughter Cindy (Jim) Wimer, as well as a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The family is planning a memorial service at a later date to be held in Quantico, Virginia.
