Glenda Grupe

Glenda Ann Linney Grupe passed away on December 16, 2021 at the age of 62. She was born on December 31, 1958 in Rockport, Texas to Ira "Sam" and Lil Linney.

She is preceded in death by her father.

She is survived by her children, Christine Chapman (Phillip), Fred Grupe (Desi), Elizabeth Gaydos (Tim); her mom, Lil linney; sisters, Sheila Mundine (Robert), Kathy Dreyer; brother, Ira Linney, Jr. (Sandra); her grandchildren, Samuel and Phillip Chapman, Kirsten, Will and Addy Grupe, Colton and Weston Gaydos.

First off, we want to thank everyone for the outpouring of love shown to our family this past week. Losing our mother is one of the hardest things we’ve ever had to go through, and fully believe the thoughts, kind words and prayers are the only way we are making it. So thank you, from the bottom of our hearts.

We would like to invite anyone who knew and loved her to join us on Saturday, January 1st from 1-3pm at the Rockport GI Forum for a Celebration of Life.

Mom always loved a reason to get together! So we’d like to honor her wishes by celebrating her life by sharing stories and enjoying some delicious food. We will be putting together a slide show for the occasion, so if you have any pictures that you’d like to include, please get them to us!

In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated and can be made to the Rockport American GI Forum, or to the family to help out with the celebration.
