Geraldine Rowland

Geraldine Rowland, lovingly known to many as a devoted mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away on January 7, 2026, in Rockport, Texas, at the age of 79. She was born on December 29, 1946, in Monroe, Louisiana. Geraldine lived a life marked by strength, love, and resilience. She was a woman who deeply cherished her family and found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Geraldine loved fishing and spending time watching her favorite television shows. She was known for her loving heart, strong spirit, and the funny moments that could light up a room. Her presence brought comfort and laughter, and she leaves behind memories that will be treasured forever. 

She was preceded in death by her brother, Lovelle Evans, and her sister, Ezzie Neathery. She is survived by her daughter, Tammy Hinton; her grandsons, Dallas LaFitte and Monte McCormick; her brothers, Melvin Evans, Archie Evans, and Wayne Evans; along with many other loving family members and friends.

Geraldine will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, but her legacy of love, strength, and laughter will live on in the hearts of her family forever.
