Gary Williams

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Gary Dewayne Williams, a beloved husband, father,grandfather,uncle,brother and friend, who left us peacefully on January 6, 2026, at the age of 54. Gary was born on February 26, 1971, in Houston, Texas, and later graduated from New Waverly High School, where he first showcased a spirited tenacity that would define his life.

Gary's journey was blessed on June 10, 1996, when he married the love of his life, Augustine Simpson. Together, they created a family filled with laughter, warmth, and countless cherished memories. Gary was a true family man, devoted to his wife, children, and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Augustine, daughter Keyah Williams, Sons Rashid Simpson, Kevon Williams, and a legacy of love embodied in his grandchildren: Messiah, Tyler, Roy’ale, Ivey, Kinza, Ariana, Nazir, Jakaius ,and A’mir

A passionate soul, Gary found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was an avid fisherman, especially enamored with catfishing, and a fervent supporter of the Dallas Cowboys never missing a game. He celebrated the outdoors, relishing moments spent under the sun cheering for high school football teams like Flour Bluff and Northshore. Gary's culinary heart was captured by the delicious meals prepared by his wife and daughter, though he always enjoyed a good plate of Chinese food or a bag of Fritos and Lays as a delightful snack.

His interests extended to the screen, where he immersed himself in shows like "Landman" and movies such as "Godzilla," "Transformers," and "King Kong." A truck driver by profession and Passion Gary traversed many roads, but the journey he cherished most was the one leading home to his family.

In addition to his immediate family, Gary is survived by his Sister Latrice Williams, his bonus kids Amber Williams,Trevion Williams and his Aunt Patricia Williams Aunt Elenor Williams Nieces Aalyssiah Gibson Emareeah Barlow , Lesaijah Wyche his hostess of nieces and nephews and cousins and friends as well as numerous in-laws including Asia Terry,Leanna Gujuardo, Destiny jones,Gary Simpson, Ken Simpson , Jonnathan Simpson , and Remaro, and sister-in-law Lashae

He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Birch Robert sr and Claudett Jean, and his brother Birch Robert jr .

Gary's legacy will be held dear not only by family but also by close family friends Ciera Means ,and Candace Britt, Chris Redding, LaFresha Means who were like family in their ties to him.

Though Gary has departed from our sight, he will forever remain in our hearts-a vibrant soul whose laughter, kindness, and unwavering love will shine on in our memories. Rest in peace G-Wayne
