Franklin (Hank) Parker, 79, of Aransas Pass, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2026. Hank was born in Corpus Christi Texas on April 12, 1947. He grew up and went to school in Ingleside, and then joined the United States Navy.
He was a Vietnam veteran and enjoyed Navy reunions with his fellow veterans of heavy attack, squadron VAH – 21. He did many things throughout his life, such as owning and operating 2 western auto stores, Tiptop fried chicken, and for the majority of his life worked at Valero Refinery.
He dated his one true love from 1965 until marrying in January 1970. Hank and Jan had 57 wonderful years together. He was never the same after she passed almost 4 years ago. He personally took care of her until the day she died.
Hank‘s second love was his cars. He always enjoyed restoring and owning all of his classic cars and hot rods. He had many wonderful friends and was loved by all. He was always very generous and very caring. He was a very doting father and grandfather.
Hank is preceded in death by his loving wife Janis (Jan) Wehring Parker and his mother and father Herman and Katherine Parker. Siblings Butch Parker, Morgan Parker, Estelle Wilson, Peggy Barta, and Betty Jo Leach. He is survived by his daughter, Jana Dyer (Steven) and the absolute light of his life, his grandson, Jagger Richardson.
Any friends that want to bring their classic cars or hot rods to the services and rev their engines one last time for my dad we would love and appreciate that. And he would too!!
