Born Francisco Dean Guzman, lovingly known as Brother Frank, of Aransas Pass, Texas went home to be with the Lord on June 11th, 2026, at the age of 57, peacefully surrounded by his family. After a life marked by faith, service, and unwavering love for his family and community.
Born on November 15, 1968, in Coloma, Michigan, during a fierce blizzard, Frank entered the world as a fighter. He was the son of Enrique Guzman II and Karen Darlene Guzman. He was preceded in death by his father Enrique Guzman II; brothers Enrique Guzman III and Johnny Hendrix; and sisters Libby Hendrix and Sharon Hendrix.
Frank is survived by his devoted wife, Sara “Snack Cake” Wall Guzman; his mother, Karen Chandler; and his siblings Jerry Paul Millership and Lorena Rayne “Rena Bena” Williams. He leaves behind his beloved children: Francisco Dean Guzman II (Jessica), Kasandra D. Hale (Corey), Jessica Marie Guzman, Erica Lopez, Angie Lindley, Cassie Lindley, Casey Lindley, October Depperman, and Naomi Duhart (Deonte). He was blessed with 20 grandchildren, each of whom brought him immense joy, and many nieces and nephews who he adored. He also leaves behind his loyal dogs, Willie and Luna, who rarely left his side.
A Life Transformed by Faith
Brother Frank became a devout Christian at the age of 37 in July 2007. A few months later, he was baptized — a moment that marked the beginning of a powerful walk with Christ. As a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church, he served wholeheartedly as a youth group minister, board of trustee member, and treasurer. His dedication to ministry and community outreach touched countless lives.
He pursued further spiritual growth by studying Seminary at STX School of Christian Studies in 2013 and 2014, deepening his understanding of Scripture and strengthening his calling to serve.
A Proud Panther and Community Servant
Frank graduated from Aransas Pass High School in 1989 and remained a die-hard Aransas Pass Panther fan throughout his life. He proudly supported both home and away games and loved coaching youth sports — basketball, baseball, and softball. His encouragement, leadership, and enthusiasm shaped many young athletes in the community.
A Heart Full of Music
Music was woven into the fabric of Brother Frank’s life. Whether singing hymns, forming a band with his church family, or lifting his voice in worship, he carried a song wherever he went. His passion for music extended beyond the church walls — he loved gathering with family for karaoke nights, filling their home with laughter, harmony, and unforgettable memories.
He also took great pride in singing the National Anthem at Little League opening ceremonies, a moment that combined his love for music, community, and supporting local youth. His voice, enthusiasm, and joy brought people together and created moments his family and community will treasure forever.
In his younger years, Frank worked in the oil field and shrimping industry. He later became a truck driver for many years before working as a crane operator at Kiewit Offshore. No matter the job, he was known for his strong work ethic and willingness to lend a hand.
Frank dedicated countless hours to community outreach, church service, and helping those in need. His heart for people and his commitment to serving the Lord were evident in everything he did.
A Legacy of Love
Brother Frank will be deeply missed by his entire family, his church, and the community he poured so much of himself into. His faith, humor, compassion, and unwavering devotion leave a legacy that will continue to inspire all who knew him.
