Ernesto Vela Jr.,47, passed away on January 17, 2024, Ernesto was born on May 24, 1976, in Gregory, Texas, to parents, Ernesto Vela and Abbie Flores.

Ernesto has left to cherish his memories, mother, Abelina Flores; siblings, Jo Anne (Benjamin) Martinez, Oscar Vela, and Roy Vela; several nieces and nephews; girlfriend, Angela Fuentes.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Juan and Ofelia Vela; father, Ernesto Vela Sr.; sisters, Lisa and Michelle Vela; brother, Michael Vela; Aunt, Irma Gonzales Cruz.

Ernesto had a career as a structural fitter with Kiewit. During his time off he enjoyed spending time with family, and fishing. He was an avid Cowboys fan, and he never missed a game. Ernesto will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be held at 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 26, 2024 at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 26, 2024, at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Aransas Pass, Texas.
