Erma Idolina Soliz

Erma Idolina Soliz, 78, passed away March 5, 2024, in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was born on November 23rd, 1945, to Miguel Soliz and Isabel Sanchez in Rockport, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Miguel Solis, and Isabel Samora, Stepfather Ysabel (Chavelo) Samora, brothers Miguel Solis Sr., Abelardo Solis, Gilberto Solis, Reymundo Solis Sr., Daniel Solis Sr., sisters Delia Canchola, Diana Sauceda, and Ida Rinche.

She is survived by her daughter Nita Solis, her brothers George Solis Sr. (Alvie) from Rockport, Frank Samora of Houston, Rudy Samora (Heidi) of Rockport, and Robert Samora of Houston, and the joys of her life - her pets, Mickey and Popcorn.

Erma was an avid Cowboys fan and loved to cheer on her local sports team, the Pirates! She spent her life caring for others and loved to entertain and cook for her loved ones. She especially enjoyed spending time with her daughter Nita, who was her pride and joy. In her later years, Erma fiercly fought cancer and beat it once. Ultimately her cancer returned in 2024 and she succumbed to the disease. She was a fighter her entire life and we find comfort in knowing she is now whole again in the presence of God and her loved ones. She was loved by so many friends and family and will be dearly missed.

A visitation will be held on Friday, March 8, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Rockport, Texas. Followed by a Rosary from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. There will be a final viewing Saturday, March 9, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home. With funeral service following at 1:30 p.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rockport, Texas and burial to follow at the Rockport Cemetery.
