It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Edward Hinojosa, who left us peacefully on December 10, 2025, at the age of 94. Born on October 6, 1931, Edward was a beloved husband, a cherished friend, and a father figure to many. He resided in Rockport, Texas, where he built a life filled with love, laughter, and countless memories. He was a truck driver and loved fishing with his babies.
Edward is survived by his devoted wife, Norma Navarro, along with his cherished children: Edward Hinojosa, Jr.; Barbara Hinojosa Wicks; Mary Helen Ramirez; Armando Cantù Jr.; Steven Cantù; Anna Estrada; and Jessica Rodriguez. He was a proud grandfather to 15 grandchildren, including Jeremie Hernandez Jr.; Damion Hernandez; Cierra Rodriguez; Armando Cantù; Alexa Cantù; Steven Cantù Jr.; Ashley Cantù; Jewel Cantù; Joey Cantù; Joshua Treviño; Eric Santos; Elexis Santos; Angelique Villarreal; Stephanie Rodriguez; Angel Ramirez Jr.; and Lisa Ramirez. His legacy continues with 10 great-grandchildren: Carter Belle Hernandez; Jemma Morales; Jeremie Hernandez Jr.; Camille Rae Hernandez; Chassidy Ryan Hernandez; Celeste Cortez; Miranda Rincon; Mariah Rincon; Andrew Rodriguez; and Ethan Rodriguez, as well as 2 great-great-grandchildren, Sofia Valladares and Mateo McBeth. He is preceded in death by his parents, and grandson. Edward hinojosa III.
As we remember Edward, we take comfort in the memories we hold dear. He was a man of kindness, known for his infectious smile and unwavering support to those around him. Edward's spirit lives on in the lessons he imparted and the love he spread throughout his life.
