Dortha Clair Poore

Dortha Clair Poore, 69, passed away Thursday, October 30, 2025 in Corpus Christi, Texas after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on October 26, 1956 in Houston, Texas to Sarah Augusta Kurtz and Maurice Louvre White. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Poore; mother, Sarah White; father, Maurice "Reese" White; sister, Donna Stevenson; brother, Michael White; and sister-in-law, Pat White. She is survived by her sister, Debbie Machac (Terry); her "bonus" family, Mary Gray (Dan); Charlene Poore, Bert Poore (Kina), Karen Stephens (Ray); her brother-in-law, Gary Stevenson; and her treasured, nieces, nephews, and their families; her stepmother, Kay White, her aunt and uncle, Cynthia and Sam Whitson; and her aunt, Dee Delapaz. She will be missed by her family, friends, and all those touched by her loving, courageous spirit. Her family, pets, and friends were her life's treasures.
