Dorothy May Faught, age 98 passed away April 1, 2021, in Brenham, Texas. Dorothy was a long-time resident of Rockport prior to moving to Brenham. She was born in Alliance, Ohio to Earl and Jennie Farnham. She lived in numerous places before settling in Rockport in 1969. She may have been born a Yankee, but she was Texan at heart. She was a founding member of Salt Lake Baptist Church in Rockport. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clint Faught, and son, Cliff Holcomb, her parents, four sisters, and three brothers.
She is survived by her children, Barbara Shelton (Dan), Russ Holcomb (Janet), Donna Butler, Edward Lane, and Ruth LaRocca, ,daughter-in-law Ann Holcomb, and sister Shirley Hiltz; grandchildren, Jeannette Richmond, Bobby Jack (Karen), Michael Jack (Jacklyn) , John Holcomb (Teresa), Jackie Brown (Mike), Mark Holcomb (Jessie), D’Weanna Moell, Lorraine Koen, Andrea Craghead (Phil), Jessica Maylum (Shawn) , Olivia LaRocca, and Isabella LaRocca. Also, Great-grandchildren, Stephen, Kristina, Kimberly, Melysa, Heather,Alexis, Emma, Lyla, Rozalyn, Caleb, Justin, Travis, Audrey, Jack, Brandon, Sharon, Ashley, Shelley, Aiden, and Elizabeth; great-great-grandchildren, Payton, Kinsley, Brilynn, and Eric, Jr. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Thank you to the entire Kruse Village staff for their care, concern, and assistance to our Mother during the 10 plus years she lived at the facility. Special thanks also to Beverly Schlabach, Mother’s caregiver, and to Walt and Ann Schindehette for being such good friends and neighbors as well as ministering to Mom. A special thanks to Richard Martinez for being a good friend and neighbor for over 50 years.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 9, 2021, at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Rockport, Texas. Interment to follow at Rockport Cemetery.
